A long story short i have replaced my 2.0 Tdi EA288 Engine (CUNA) in my Golf Alltrack. While doing so I had the DPF cleaned and tested professionally and tested and replaced on to the New Engine. Everything has went great however I have been unable to reset the soot levels measured, I feel the differential pressure sensors need recalibrated to I was doing a lot of short trips in my VW T5 2.5 and I started to get the engine management light on. It was the exhaust pressure sensor. I was told this was the first sign that the DPF and Unfortunately, the post-mod fuel management is going to mean the car will use more fuel, so it will make more particle matter, which means the DPF will have to work more to get the job done. You have such low mileage for a nine year old car, especially a TDI, it makes me think you are probably not the best match for the car. Once the ash load reaches a certain amount in grams the DPF is essentially full and the car starts to feel sluggish, ceases regenerating and you'll start to get lights on the dash (engine faults, DPF light, emissions light). There is no DPF FULL message or specific warning light. Mad Mitch. 6 Feb 2023. #1. Hello all. My van t6.1 has been in limp mode because of a dpf filter is blocked. I have taken it to vw garage Peterborough and they have said that it's because the fuel had been run low and because of this they are refusing to do the work under warranty. I took delivery of the vehicle in Feb 2022 (not even a year old). Another way to check for the existence of a DPF, is to see what type of oil it uses. This is stated in the handbook or on a label in the engine compartment. If the car requires a low ash (Low SAPS) oil, then it indicates the presence of a DPF. Finally, if you are still unsure, take the VIN number from the vehicle and contact the dealer VW has been covering 99 % of the HPFP , mine was covered out of warranty which I think they have since extended to 10 years or 120,000 miles, I think I may have just had the DPF failure ( 127,000 miles 90 % highway) and just got a CEL w code P0401 which is the emissions failure, kinda of funny w everything VW is going to be fixing. My 11 has If you are doing mostly short trips, in my opinion you have to take an active role to some extent to give the car the time it needs to regen properly. Some type of gauges are really needed to help you see when these are happening (at speed). My regens are regular and last approx. 10 minutes, about 2 per tank (730 miles or 17 gallons). mzttGs.
